To bang the "handmade holiday" drum once again, we'd like to point out that we know buying stuff for people gives you a warm fuzzy feeling. You like to be nice, and we like that about you, but making something for someone is even better. You can't make everyone something, obviously, why would you? Your 3rd cousin who is fused to his x-box or the guy in the cubicle next to you with the unhealthy obsession with sports is not going to get that you're an artist or art enthusiast, but your best pal or love of your life will be stoked that you took the time to make and not just buy something.
On the flipside, you may not be an artist, you might be lost when you walk in. Don't panic, we are experts. In fact, we will be so bold to say that no other art store in the area will know better what the artist in your life would love, and if you somehow stump us, there's always gift certificates.
This season, we've asked our friends to make some really cool "no-brainer" kits for the person on a budget or those of you last-minute types. We've hand made a box, filled it with cool stuff and priced it affordably so everyone wins.
